Studying Scripture at St. Mark's

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;

Personal study of the Bible is a very important part of our spiritual growth.  We are blessed at St. Mark's to have a variety of vibrant Bible studies. Many of our Bible Study opportunities take the form of Small Christian Communities. We also have seasonal BIble Studies we will update on this page. We invite you to explore some different options to see which Bible study is best suited for you.

 

 SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY (SCC) BIBLE STUDIES

Small Christian Communities are small groups of ordinary parishioners who meet regularly, usually in participants' homes.  Their ultimate goal is threefold:
1) To connect their faith by listening to each other, sharing with and seeking to know each other.
2) To allow the Sunday liturgy to become a more intrinsic part of their daily lives, relating it to today's realities.
3) To open their hearts and minds to the Spirit through the scriptures in order to apply God's word in their daily lives. 

Young Adult Bible Study at St. Mark's: Beginning May 4th! We will meet Wednesdays at 7 pm in Room 225 of the John Paul II Center at St. Mark's. We will begin by studying the Gospel of Matthew, using the Great Adventure DVD series as a guide. Young adults in the parish are especially welcome!!! Bible Study Group in St. Mark's Healy Hall:  We meet Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Healy Hall.  For more information, contact Sister Rosanne at  This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . We are currently studying Paul's letters.

Bible Study Group near intersection of Las Posas and Borden: We meet in a private home on Tuesdays at 10 am. Contact Yolande Dorais for more information:   This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . CURRENTLY ON EASTER BREAK.

We are currently studying the Sunday readings.

Bible Study Group off Twin Oaks Valley Rd: We meet at a private home in the Twin Oaks Valley area on Wednesdays at 1 pm. We are currently studying the Gospel of Matthew through Little Rock Scripture Study.
